Sapphire Blue Smokey Eye Using Illamasqua Liquid Metal (Superior)

As soon as I saw the Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Superior, I knew that I wanted to do a sapphire Smokey look and that it exactly what I did!!I was so excited to try it out that I did the look as soon as I could open the container.

Here is a tutorial on how I did this look!
I know that it is not possible to buy Illamasqua liquid metal for everyone out there. So I have listed a more (very) economical alternative at the end of the tutorial.

The things I used to achieve this look are:
1.  Lakme 9 to 5 flawless makeup
2.  Lakme Black Satin Kajal
3.  Illamasqua Liquid Metal In Superior
4.  Shimmery blue eye shadow  from coastal scents palette and black eye shadow from coastal scents palette.
5.  Maybelline Colossal Volum’ Express mascara.
In brushes, I used only two, a small stiff brush from a drugstore brand and my favourite Sigma E40 blending brush.
How did I do this look
First I applied some foundation all over my lid as a base and then applied the kajal to my lid and blended it out with my finger.

Then taking the liquid metal, I applied it all over the lid using a small stiff brush, you do not have to bother about shape or blending whilst applying this, just make sure that it is even.

Next up, take the shimmery blue shadow using the same stiff small brush and pat it on top of the liquid metal and blend it out a bit at the edges, but not too  high up.

Then take the black shade on a fluffy blending brush and blend out the edges very well, still make sure that you do go very high up in to the brow area as this will make your eyes look goth-ish.

Then taking the liquid metal on the same stiff small brush, run it along the bottom lash line and pat on the black shadow lightly over it.

Finally apply kajal on waterline and apply mascara. And you are done with the sapphire blue smokey eyes!!!!

Now, as I said earlier, I know that not everyone can afford or find the liquid metal.  What I have found that works just the same, is Elle 18 eye sparklerz in blue blast, which costs only Rs 85/- !!!!  It may not last as long as the illamasqua one and you might need to go over it more than once to get the right intensity, but it is a very doable dupe.

Here is a picture of just the elle18 sparklerz on my lid over foundation:

For the rest of your face, I would suggest keeping it super neutral.
Just a brush of pink blush and sparkly nude lip gloss would be enough.
The eyes are really Va-Va-Voom and heavy makeup on the rest of the face will make it look over the top!!
I hope you all liked this look, Do let me know what you think by leaving comments!!!
